Sydney: Second test between Australia and India will begin today at the Sydney Cricket Stadium.
Australian captain Michael Clarke has announced an unchanged line-up for Australia’s second Test against India, starting at the SCG tomorrow.
The selection news leaves returning paceman Ryan Harris as 12th man, giving Clarke the option of using Nathan Lyon heavily with the pitch tipped to spin later in the match.
“It’s a tough call on ‘Rhino’. He’s been a wonderful bowler for us and I love having him in and around the group,” Clarke said.
“It was tough to leave him out but we’ve stuck with the winning team in Melbourne.
On the other hand India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has warned Australia not to get too carried away with their victory in the first test and backed his team to battle back in the second in Sydney this week.
Asked whether India’s 4-0 series drubbing in England earlier this year, and the match in Melbourne, had proved his team was “not much good when there was something there for the bowlers”, Dhoni replied.
