Kandahar: At least 12 people were killed and over two dozens injured in the multiple blasts which rocked southern Kandahar province here on Tuesday.
Kandahar provincial security acting chief General Abdul Razaq said the first blast took place around 12:30 pm local time after a suicide bomber rammed a motorcycle packed with explosives into the convoy of Afghan national police.
This comes as a local security official in southern Kandahar province earlier said, at least 8 Afghan civilians and 4 Afghan Border Protection troops were injured during the incident.
He further said that another suicide bomber detonated a bomb-laden tricycle in downtown Kandahar.
