Lahore: Pakistan Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that there was no room for military coup in Pakistan and future of democracy was secured.
Talking to media here in Lahore, Gilani said that memogate issue was a conspiracy to postpone the senate election. He said that he meet Army Chief to make unity in the country.
“There is no room for chair-taker, care-taker or technocrat government in the country,” he said.
The prime minister also strongly ruled out any possibility of a martial law or technocrat-based interim set up in the country.
Talking to the media, the prime minister said that President Zardari will be in the country when the doctors permit him to do so.
Responding to his meeting with the Army Chief, Gilani said that the meeting was in the interest of the state and the future of democracy is safe.
