Dhaka: Bangladesh Cricket Board chief Mustafa Kamal has given hint about the tour of Pakistan with the clearance of International Cricket Coucil (ICC).
He said this in a statement that “We are seeking the ICC clearance to play the series in Pakistan”, the Sun quoted.
The two sides are currently playing each other in Bangladesh, with Pakistan having won the sole Twenty20, three one-dayers and the first of two Tests.
Bangladesh could become the first international cricket team to tour Pakistan since the Lahore terror attacks in March 2009 if ICC will give the clearance.
After the incident Pakistan forced to play all of their ‘home’ international cricket at neutral venues overseas since.
One such stage has been the United Arab Emirates, where England will play Pakistan over three Tests, four one-dayers and three Twenty20s from January.
But Bangladesh look set to be the first team to venture back to Pakistan, with high-ranking officials confirming talks are underway for a tour in March.
