Islamabad: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari was admitted to a hospital in Dubai for medical checkups following an angina complaint, media reports said. Â
President Zardari earlier went to Dubai along with the team of his family physicians for extensive medical checkups.
According to different TV channels’ reports, doctors have advised the President to remain in the hospital for the whole night.
Earlier, presidential spokesperson Farhatullah Babar had told media that the president had gone to Dubai along with his team of doctors for an extensive medical examination.
He added that before his departure, President Zardari on Tuesday had separate meetings with Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Chairman Senate Farooq H Naik, and Interior Minister Rehman Malik.
Moreover, the president was accompanied not only by his personal doctor Colonel Salman and his medical team, but also by some members of the Assembly, said Mr Babar.
