Karachi: The Sindh government has lifted ban on pillion riding, which was imposed in the wake of Muharram.
The ban was imposed for indefinite period on Ist Muharram as part of security arrangements during the first 10 days of the holy month.
Sindh Home Minister announced the decision during a press briefing today.He thanked Ulema and other segments of society to help maintain law and order in the city.
He said that the ban was being lifted since the government did not want to irritate people in the name of security. The minister also said armed licenses were also restored in the province.
