Mumbai: Mumbai police on Friday arrested a senior Indian woman journalist for her alleged role in the killing of local crime reporter Jyotirmoy Dey in June.
According to local media, Joint Police Commissioner (Crime) Himanshu Roy said that Jigna Vora, deputy bureau chief of English daily Asian Age, has been arrested today as she played a role in the conspiracy hatched to murder J Dey.
Ms. Vora, who was questioned by the crime branch in connection with the case several times, will be produced before a Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court later in the day.
Dey was shot dead in suburban Powai on June 11 by assailants who followed him on motorcycles.
