Karachi: Former Sindh Information Minister and PPP leader Sharjeel Memon said that the ‘terrorists’ thought they would control and occupy the whole Karachi, but they would fail in their nefarious design.
Talking to media at Karachi Airport before leaving for Dubai, the former minister said that he would never come under MQM pressure. He said that Dr Zulfiqar Mirza was his friend and would remain so forever.
He said that the faces of ‘terrorists’ were blackened in Karachi, adding that some of them were arrested while the reset had hidden in their hideouts and holes.
To a question he said that he was satisfied with the performance of incumbent Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wasan, saying that he was taking strong action against the terrorists.
When asked whether he would returned, he quickly replied that he was not an absconder (Bagora) and definitely would come back to Pakistan.
To another question, Sharjeel Memon said that he was going abroad with the permission of Speaker Sindh Assembly. He said that he or his party (PPP) had nothing to do with Dr Zulfiqar Mirza’s ‘mission’, saying that he was meeting Scotland Yard officials in his personal capacity. To a question, the former information minister, who lost his ministry for accompanying Dr Mirza to London, said that he would not go to London rather would return from Dubai.
