London: British Boxing Board of Control has given the “Britain Boxer of the Year” award to Pakistani origin boxer Amir Khan.
The award has declared due to his 2011 successes over Paul McCloskey and high-profile American Zab Judah.
Amir Khan was delighted with the award and said that he was very proud to have won the British Boxer of the Year Award
“It means a lot to me to be recognized with this award and gives me the motivation to strive for even more success in my career.” he added.
He was unable to make it to the event as he is busy in training in advance of his showdown with Lamont Peterson in Washington on December 10.
