Lahore: The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has suspended the system of Lahore Railways after disconnecting electricity supply to Lahore cantt station over nonpayment of Rs.1.6 million which were outstanding against it.
According to reports, the disconnection creates many problems for the passengers and made interruption on the schedule.
Station master Abdul Hameed claimed that the LESCO did not give any notice about the payment and took action without informed the department.
He said that the all the system have been suspended and all the traffic signal not working since this action.
He further said that the booking office also closed and each train would take extra 30 minutes for leaving the station.
