Washington: Pakistan’s ambassador to USA, Hussain Haqqani has strongly refused any kind of links with the ‘Memo to Mullen’, stressing that the document was without any signatures.
In a statement, Haqqani said that Mansoor Ijaz would have to be somewhere in Europe, and saying that the issue was being deliberately ‘highlighted’, claimed that he (Haqqani) had only met him thrice.
He said that he was in favor of and fully prepared for any kind of investigations, and expressed his full loyalty to Pakistan and democracy ‘ “ more than my own self”, he averred.
