Miranshah: A United States unmanned spy plane fired two missiles in Pakistan’s tribal region of North Waziristan on late Monday, killing at least seven people, political officials said.
According to the local officials, the CIA operated US drone fired two missiles at a home in near Miranshah Bazar of North Waziristan, bordering Afghanistan. As a result, three people were killed in the attack.
Four others were injured in the attack. The officials said that death toll may increase as the injured were said to be in critical condition.
Relations between Pakistan and the United States have been at its lowest ebb since a series of allegations by top US civilian and military officials against Pakistan especially it security establishment including Inter Services Intelligence (ISI).
Pakistan has long been opposing the drone strikes, declaring them counterproductive.
