Karachi: Milk sellers have increased prices of fresh milk by Rs2 per litre in the city, a local television channel reported on Saturday.
Fresh milk is being sold at Rs.70 per litre in the metropolis, where business and trade badly hit in the recent law an order situation which claimed over 300 lives in the month of August.
The retailers are selling milk Rs10 per litre higher the prices fixed by the city government. The CDGK had fixed the milk prices at Rs60 per litre.
People complained that the local government had failed to fix milk prices.
On the other hand, milk sellers terming dairy farmers and wholesalers responsible for the latest hike in milk prices said that they had raised prices on their end.
