Karachi: Senior Member Sindh Board of Revenue Shahzar Shamoon has issued a notification to restore the commissionerate system in the province, local television channels reported late Saturday evening.
Under the notification, Tando Allah Yar, Tando Muhammad and Matiyari have been merged in district Hyderabad, said the TV channels.
There had been a lot of confusion during the last 24 hours about the system to be followed for local government in the province.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement, a major coalition partner in Sindh and federal governments, opposes the commissionerate system, while most of the politicians belonging to Pakistan People’s Party and many other Sindh-based parties want the system.
