Karachi: Teachers of Karachi University haveĀ observed a strike on Friday (today) against the incident in which a lecturer from the Department of Philosophy, Alam Shah was manhandled by a group of students.
Taking notice of the incident, the Karachi University Teachers Society (KUTS) had announced boycott of all classes on Friday and called for an emergency meeting on Friday.
Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Pirzada Qasim had formed a committee headed by Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr Nasir-u-Din.Ā HeĀ asked the committee to take serious action against the culprits.
Karachi University has ordered to suspend all the students who were involved in the incident.
