Karachi: The preparations are in full swing to organize the first ever UAE EXPO 2011 – Magnificent 7, from November 30 to December 02 at Karachi Expo Centre.
Plans have been finalized to give the metropolis a festive look to welcome delegates from seven Emirates during the mega event.
The details were revealed by the Consul General of UAE in Karachi, Suhail Bin Matar Al Ketbi appreciating the support being extended by the federal and provincial governments of Pakistan for this historic event. He also thanked Governor Sindh, Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan for taking keen interest in the event by holding weekly meetings to review the progress.
The occasion will also mark 40 years of PAK-UAE friendship and accordingly the city will be decorated with special monuments and other decorative props. The city will be decorated with flags of UAE and Pakistan. Hoarding and banners highlighting UAE Expo 2011 will also be placed all over the city to create a festive look.
Special arrangements will be made at the Airport and Hotels to welcome and facilitate distinguished guests from UAE with adequate protocol arrangements.
Governor Sindh will also be hosting a dinner in honor of the Minister for Foreign Trade UAE, Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi and visiting delegates at the Governor House.
Foreign guests will be taken on guided tour to visit the historic and recreational locations and landmarks of Karachi during the evenings.
The event finale will be marked with the Grand Celebration of UAE’s National Day December 2, 2011.
