Sargodha: About 54,000 litres oil worth Rs 10 million was stolen from an oil tanker of NATO near Sargodha.
A bid was also foiled by which the accused tried to fabricate an incident of terrorism by setting the tanker on fire.
According to police sources, an oil tanker carrying thousands of tons oil from Karachi to Afghanistan reached Shahpur near Sargodha, the driver Javed along with his aids sold the tanker after stealing 54,000 litres oil out of it.
He also tried to fabricate a fake story of burning the oil tanker in a so called incident of terrorism but the police foiled the bid by taking an action in time.
The police have also arrested the driver and also lodged an FIR against him.
