Lahore: Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Wednesday challenged Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President, Nawaz Sharif, to hold Munazira (open debate) with him at Bhatti Gate, Lahore, over corruption, saying that he would prove Punjab had become epicenter of corruption.
He also challenged those running “Go Zardari Go” campaign to face him. “The era of Sultan Rahi’s films had come to en end,” he added.
“We have not worn bangles and we too have tongues, and would expose PML-N and its history if needed,” he warned.
Malik said that politicians needed to show maturity, saying that those, who are talking about fresh elections, should show some patience.
He asked PML-N to move no-confidence motion against the prime minister in the Parliament if they wanted to change the government.
He warmed that if anyone used abusive and indecent language against President Zardari then he should be ready for the same.
He said that PML-N politics was only meant to dislodge PPP-led governments.
He said, “PML-N had issues with Imran Khan, and PPP must not be dragged into PML-N and PTI fight.”
