Bulawayo: Malcolm Waller and Brendon Taylor guided New Zealand to a clinching one wicket win over New Zealand in the third and last ODI in Bulawayo.
Waller made outstand 99 not out and skipper Taylor contributed with quick 75.
This despite being set a victory target of 329, hosts were played amazingly well and made record to chase highest target in the history of Zimbabwe.
Waller’s composure under pressure was total as Zimbabwe responded to a mammoth total of 328 for five, to the extent that, needing two runs for his century but one to win the game, he nudged the penultimate ball of the match into a gap on the offside for a simple single to clinch a famous victory.
The Black Caps had earlier smashed 328 for five in Bulawayo.
Ross Taylor and Kane Williamson made centuries for New Zealand, who still win the series 2-1.
