Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that free and fair elections could not be held in the country in the presence of President Asif Ali Zardari. He fearedĀ that the country might face civil war if elections were rigged.
Talking to media in Lahore, Shahbaz said that no party would accept the results of elections held while Asif Zardari was sitting at President House.
He resolved that Pakistan Muslim League-N would continue its fight against corruption, adding that peoples were suffering due to loadshedding, unemployment and inflation but the rulers have kept them aloof from these problems.
Ā āI will not stop speaking against corruption of government,ā he said.
He fearedĀ civil war ifĀ elections were rigged.
