Peshawar: A moderate earthquake hit Pakistan’s northern areas in the wee hours of Thursday.
According to media reports, the tremors were felt in various areas, including Batagram, and Bala Kot at 5:21 am (local time), but no casualties or damages were reported.
Authorities are finding the epicenter and magnitude of the quake.
It is the third quake that hit Batagram area within a week.
Another moderate intensity earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Rector Scale jolted Peshawar and adjoining areas of Pakistan on Wednesday.
According to the Met Office, the tremors were felt in several parts of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa province but no casualties or damages were reported.
The epicenter of the quake was 110 kilometers in the Afghanistan, the office said.
