Islamabad: Director General Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR), Major General Athar Abbas has urged Isaf and Afghanistan to take action against Maulvi Fazal Ullah, a fugitive leader of the Tehreek-Taliban Pakistan based in Afghanistan.
The military spokesman in an interview with Reuters news agency on Monday said that Fazalullah’s fighters were involved in cross border attacks in Pakistani territory and over 100 troops were killed during these raids.
He said that no action was taken against these Fazal Ullah-led fighters by the coalition and the Afghan forces.
“The problem refuses to go away,” the spokesman told Reuters.
Militants from Afghanistan have consistently attacked on Pakistan’s tribal region from April to August this year.
Earlier, a report said that US forces have also shifted heavy cache of weapons besides gunship helicopters in Khost province of Afghanistan. The province is located near to Pakistani border.
