Karachi: Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khurshed Shah met with Sindh’s former home minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza on late Friday and conveyed President Asif Ali Zardari’s reconciliation message.
A source said Khursheed Shah along with more than 18 MPAs and MNAs of Pakistan People’s Party met Mirza at his residence in Karachi.
The source said that Shah tried to persuade Mirza to follow the reconciliation policy of President Zardari. Shah told Mirza that reconciliation policy was in favour of him and the country as well, the source said.
“If you did not follow the policy, history would forget you,” the source quoted Shah as telling Mirza. Restoration of local body ordinance 1979 was also discussed in the meeting, the source added.
