Islamabad: The PML-N and PML (Like Minded) have agreed to speed up talks regarding seats adjustment and Senate election issue.
Sources said that PML (LM) President, Senator Salim Saifullah Khan, Humayun Akhtar and Kashmala Tariq, accompanied by other associates, met PML-N Secretary General Sartaj Aziz, Ishaq Dar and Mehtab Abassi on Thursday and discussed the general political scenario of country.
Detailed consensus was also carried out over such issues as widening the scope of holding nationwide protest rallies and meetings.
The Sources informed that PML (LM) expressed reservations, which the PML-N leaders assured of alleviating, while the party leadership also hinted at contesting next general elections jointly with PML-N.
The PML (LM) President, Salim Saifullah confirmed the contacts with PML-N, garnering positive initial results, and which would be continued in future.
He also informed that Saifullah would also hold talks with PML-N President, Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, during which future political strategies between the two parties would be evolved.
