New Dehli: In a tragic incident, 10 members of a family, including six children, allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday by jumping into a canal at Vikasnagar town, police said.
According to the police, the family, which hailed from Majra area of Dehradun, jumped into the Shakti canal this morning, adding eight bodies have been fished out.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the family was in depression ever since the eldest daughter Rekha (35) died due to some ailment three months ago. Rekha’s three children are also among the dead, the police said.
