Islamabad: Opposition Leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has announced that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML) will march towards the President House and a sit-in would also be staged on Thursday. Nisar said other parties were being taken into confidence in this regard.
He was talking to media outside the parliament house here on Wednesday. Nisar said that ousting the government had become national agenda as the country was on the brink of a disaster. He said that everything would be according to the constitution.
He attributed the power crises to the government’s criminal negligence and said that the rulers were not ready to pay heed on any issue.
The opposition leader said that there was panic in the country due to US threats, adding that the prime minister convened All Parties Conference (APC) instead of convening National Assembly meeting on the issue. He said that the president kept mum even after the 12 days of US threats. Nisar said that all the parties except one opposed the government during the APC.
He said that the PML-N was protesting along with people on the streets and roads and towns.
Nisar lamented that Balochistan was burning and the aggravating situation didn’t make any difference to the government.
Lashing out at Interior Minister Rehman Malik for taking credit of the improving situation of Karachi, the opposition leader said that law and order situation improved after the Supreme Court of Pakistan took suo motu notice.
“It was you (Malik) who said people are killed by their girls friends in Karachi”, Nisar said.
