New Delhi: Pakistan Finance Minister Ameen Faheem called on Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here on Monday.
Faheem invited Singh to visit Pakistan which he accepted. Talking to reporters Faheem said that the prime minister said India wanted to see a prosper Pakistan, adding that Pakistan would benefit from the support to India in World Trade Organization.
According to reports, he assured the Pakistani minister that there should be no skepticism about India diverting Pakistani waters. “Pakistan share of water would not be stopped and Indus Water Treaty will be implemented in letter and spirit”, Faheem quoted Indian PM as saying.
He said that both the countries agreed to enhance trade volume. Faheen said Manmohan told him India and Pakistan could play leading role in the region.
