Karachi: All key stakeholders from the Small & Medium Enterprises sector of the country are set to participate in the 5th Pakistan SME Conference 2011 being held 6th October, 2011 at the Shelton Hotel in Gujranwala.
This is the fifth forum in a series of annual SME Conferences being organized by SHAMROCK Conferences International and this year’s theme is “The Mandate for SMEs in Pakistan”.
Delegates representing private enterprises, government ministries, State Bank, commercial banks, trade associations, chambers of commerce, academia and the media have already expressed their interest in attending the day-long proceedings. Distinguished institutions like IFC/World Bank, SME Business Support Fund, UNISAME and SMEDA are among the organizing partners of the 5th SME Conference, 2011.
Menin Rodrigues, Convener and Chairman, SHAMROCK Conferences International said, “It is our endeavor to continue highlighting the importance of the SME sector.
The government needs to fully recognize the potential and support the sector with special incentives and patronage, while the SMEs must also play their due role to perform at optimum levels.”
The conference will feature eminent chairpersons and speakers, including government functionaries, financial experts and professionals from trade and industry.
During these enlightening deliberations and interactive sessions the experts will focus on critical areas of the SME sector, while discussing Structural Reforms, Empowerment strategies and Human Resources Development initiatives to strengthen the SME sector and the national economy.
