Shanghai: At least 250 passengers were injured in a collision of two subway trains in Shanghai subway.
The accident took place when a subway train rammed into another in Shanghai Tuesday afternoon, Xinhua reported, citing the subway operator as saying.
Reports said that over 250 people were taken to hospitals for treatment. However, the exact number of the injured has not yet been confirmed.
Equipment failures are believed to have caused the crash on the Line 10 subway, sources from the subway operator said.
Local authorities are investigating the exact cause of the crash.
