Islamabad: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has convened an All Parties Conference (APC) to cope with the situation emerging after the US threats to the nuclear armed nation.
Sources said on Monday that all the political leadership of the country had been invited in the APC. Besides, high officials of sensitive institution would attend the moot.
On Sunday, the prime minister telephoned leaders of almost all the political and religious parties, Including MQM chief Altaf Hussain, PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif, JUI-F Chief Maulan Fazlur Rehman, Jamate Islami cheaf Munawwar Hassan, PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujjat Hussain and others to build up a consensus.
Pakistan has been facing serious threats by the US of sending ground troops to its soil in hot pursuit of militants belonging to Haqqani network, a strong faction of the Afghan Taliban.
