Tehran: If Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan joined hands, the interference of foreign forces in the region could be stopped, said Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmedinejad on Monday in his meeting with Pakistani prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani. Gilani was on an official visit to Iran. The Iranian president said he was eager to meet Pakistanis whom he called brothers.
Gilani said that Afghanistan must solve its internal problems and that Pakistan and Iran should use their resources jointly to fight terrorism and extremism.
Both leaders discussed Pak-Iran gas pipeline and defence cooperation.
