English one day captain Alastair Cook has been named test cricketer of the year. Former Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakara has been declared the one day player of the year.
Indian captain Dhoni won the spirit of cricket award for his calling Ian Bell back after he was given run out by the umpire in the recent test series.
Bishoo, the West Indian leg spinner, was declared emerging player of the year.
ten Doasschate, the dutch all rounder who became a famous cricketer in the world cup this year, was declared the best affiliate and associate player of the year.
This is the third time in four years that he has won this award. He also won this award last year.
