Karachi: As the proceedings on Karachi killings were going on in Supreme Court, the complainant, Surraya Begum appealed the apex court that police had nothing done in his kidnapped son named Zahid, who was kidnapped last month on August 5, and the next day his body was found in a hospital.
She told the court that cell phone which was in the possession his slain son, was still being used by the killers despite passing one month but police took no action.
But police did not the attempt to find the culprits through the record of cell phone. She said the killers used the slain’s ATM and took the money from on August 5, 6 & 7, and each time Rs 20,000 was withdrawn.
Surraya Begum informed the court that there was single camera installed in every ATM corner where the culprits could be identified from the recording but police in this regard nothing did.
The apex court showed its angriness to SSP Central Asim Khan and asked why action was not taken on the basis of mobile and ATM records. The apex court warned the SSP that if the record of ATM machine system was not taken, then he would be sent to jail.
