Islamabad: A high level meeting of Pakistan People’s Party presided over by President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has termed Dr Zulfiqar Mirza’s yesterday’s (Sunday) statement a great loss for the reconciliation policy of PPP.
President Zardari during the meeting was held at President House vowed that peace will be restored in Karachi at every cost. He said reconciliation policy of Benazir Bhutto will be continued for the development of the country.
The meeting decided that PPP was not responsible of Dr Zulfiqar Ali Mirza’s statement in which he accused Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik and MQM’s Chief Altaf Hussain. It termed Mirza’s statement violation of party policy which was unacceptable.
Chief Minister Sindh briefed Presient Zardari about current situation of Karachi and ongoing operation against target killers and perpetrators was headed by Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik.
President Zardari directed to continue the operation against extortionists and target killers in the metropolis without any discrimination.
The meeting was also attended by Manzoor Wasan, Sharjeel Memon, Qadir Patel, Agha Siraj Durrani, Qamar-uz-Zaman Kaira and Khursheed Shah.
