Kohistan: At least 33 people have been killed as torrential rains battered Kohistan district of Pakistan’s northwestern province Khyber Pukhtunkha on Thursday.
According to reports, incessant rains overflowed the brooks, destroying many houses in the area.
Police said that 16 people were killed in Kandiaki Tehseel when flood water inundated the residential areas while 20 to 30 people were still missing.
They said that efforts were underway to recover the bodies and to locate the missing people.
Pakistan Metrological Department has predicted more rains in most of the areas in the country.
