Dasht: As many as 19 oil tankers, carrying oil supplies for Nato forces in Afghanistan were set ablaze in Dasht area of Pakistan’s Southwestern province Balochistan.
According to preliminary reports 60 Nato tankers were heading toward border area of Chaman, from where they crosses border into Afghanista, when unknown armed men opened fired at the oil tankers in Dasht area of Mastung district and torched them. However it was yet not clear whether any casualties took place or not.
Heavy Contingent of forces rushed to the spot and launched a search operation.
Nato tankers are often targeted in Balochistan, Khyber Pukhtunkha and other areas of Pakistan, creating concerns for the US.
The US and Nato have reduced the supplies from Pakistan for fear of such attacks and bring the total number of supplies to 30 percent of the total supplies.
