Tripoli: Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi said on Sunday he will stay in Tripoli “until the end” and called on his supporters to help liberate the country from a rebel offensive while rebel forces have claimed to enter the Libyan capital.
He said in an audio message played over state television he was “afraid that Tripoli will burn” and he said he would provide weapons to supporters to fight off the rebels. He also said that he would fight till his last breath but not leave the country.
In the fresh civil war between the forces loyal to Gaddafi and rebels at least 387 people have been killed. Rebel forces have claimed that they have entered and occupied some 12 kilometers of Tripoli.
According to a foreign news agency, a rebel’s convey includes on some 100 vehicles have been entering in Tripoli to combat with Gaddafi forces.
NATO in a statement said that we are watching Gaddafi government’s ending soon.
