Tandu Adam: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani visited flood hit areas of Sindh on Monday and announced that 15000 tents, potable water, food would be provided to the flood victims.
He directed the authorities concerned to immediately issue Watan cards and tents to the victims.
Gilani said compensation would be announced after thorough assessment of the damages caused by the recent rains and floods, adding that affected area would be declared calamity hit areas following the assessment   .
The prime minister also ordered the Agricultural Development Bank to issue interest-free loans to the victims.
He said that he was visiting the areas to evaluate the losses suffered by the people of Sindh.
The prime minister also visited Badin district where heavy rains wreck havoc on infrastructure and agricultural lands.
