London: British Prime Minister David Cameron said that 1200 people had been arrested in connection with the violence and riots in the country.
He said that the miscreants have been detected by CCTV cameras. Cameron was speaking in the Parliament House here on Thursday.
Cameron said that communal violence could not be tolerated in the UK.” We will not allow culture of fear to be prevail here” he said.
The prime minister said that social media websites would be controlled.
He appreciated performance of police and other agencies for maintaining law and order. The prime minister said that three innocent people were killed in Birmingham, adding that the government would help victims.
The premier said,” We are facing a new challenge first time in the history of the country”, adding that no culprit would be spared.
He said that protecting people was the government top most priority.
