Islamabad: Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan Sharat Sabharwal called on Senior Minister for Commerce, Makhdoom Amin Fahim at his office on Wednesday.
The High Commissioner extended an invitation to the minister from Indian Minister for Commerce and Industry, Anand Sharma, to visit India along with a delegation of Pakistani businessmen.
Sabharwal informed the minister that Sharma would like to carry the talks process forward.
Amin Fahim has accepted the invitation, but the exact time of the visit has not yet been committed. He expressed his gratitude for the invitation and stated that he is looking forward to the visit.
He further stated that the talks between the commerce secretaries of Pakistan and India have been very fruitful and both have worked very hard in streamlining the trade issues between the two countries, however, there is a political dimension to this issue and the talks between the two ministers would help in resolving them.
