Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan Dr Fehmida Mirza said that there was a dare need to enhance parliamentary ties between Pakistan and USA.
She was speaking to US Ambassador Cameron Munter who called her on in the parliament house on Tuesday. On the occasion US Ambassador said that US respects the sacrifices of Pakistan in the war against terror. He said that America would extent every possible support to Pakistan in thwarting every attempt to destabilize her.
“There is a need to solidify the strategic partnership between Pakistan and US for the peace in the region”, Munter said by adding that USA would assist Pakistan in economic and energy sectors.
Later Ambassador of Japan Hiroshi Oe also called on Speaker National Assembly Fehmida Mirza in her chamber. On the occasion the speaker said that the Pakistan gives mush importance to the ties with Japan.
