Makkah: Saudi government has installed state of art and highly hygienic dispensers and filling machines to distribute Zamzam water to the devotees at the Khana Kabba in Makkah and the Masjid-e- Nabvi in Madinah.
The first batch of new Zamzam water dispensers with the highest standard of hygiene has been placed at various locations in the two holy mosques. The drums are easily movable for refilling. This was told by an official of the General Presidency of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques.
As part of the presidency’s efforts to guarantee the highest level of hygiene when handling Zamzam water, the authorities will also install smart filling machines shortly. The machines will identify the capacity of containers and fill them without wasting a drop, the official said.
The presidency’s General Administration for Projects and Studies developed the coolers based on operational requirements and health criteria. The new coolers are easy to move and distribute, can maintain the water temperature, and are made of materials resistant to bacteria. They can be sealed so that only workers can open them for filling or washing.
