Karachi: Issues between Pakistan People’s Party and Muttahida Qaumi Movement over Commissionerate System have been approximately resolved and previous local body system is being partly restored in Sindh province of Pakistan.
According to The News Tribe Karachi and Islamabad correspondents, the Commissionerate System which was restored when MQM was out of Sindh government has been ended in Karachi and Hyderabad only.
Approval of President Asif Ali Zardari was being considered the main achievement to reduce differences between both parties. It is expected that after the meeting between President Zardari and Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan MQM would rejoin in the federal and provincial government.
Earlier on late Friday, governor presented the copy of formula finalized between both the parties to President Zardari for final approval.
Governor Sindh would present the proposed agreement in Sindh Assembly for legislation.
PPP sources on the condition of anonymity told The News Tribe that former senior Sindh minister Agha Siraj Durrani has strong reservations over the proposed agreement.
PPP sources said that MQM demands to restore the local body system was just to strong its worth.
Provincial minister Afgha Siraj Durrani on Friday said that MQM would be part of PPP-led government before Eid. The statement shows that all has been set between both the parties.
