Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (Q) on Friday submitted a resolution in the Punjab Assembly to make southern Punjab a separate province on administrative basis.
Parliamentary leader of PML-Q Chaudhary Zaheer submitted the resolution in Punjab Assembly Secretariat.
But Punjab Assembly Secretariat sources said that the resolution could not be admitted because it was against constitution.
News of making southern Punjab a new province have been circulating in the media for sometime.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz says that any move to make new provinces on ethnic basis would be foiled.
