Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani has said that neither Taliban’s leader Mullah Omer nor al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri were living in Balochistan.
Talking to US Ambassador Cameron Munter who met him at the Chief Minister House, Raisani said that there was no Quetta Shura in the province” i say even Quetta Shura doesn’t exist, he added.
He said that some elements wanted to spread sectarian rift in the province, adding that there were no differences amongst the people of Balochistan.
Raisani told the US envoy that the government wanted to reconcile with insurgents.
