Islamabad: The Supreme Court on Monday annoyed over violation of the court orders in connection with Haj scam and summoned Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director General on Tuesday.
A six member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was hearing the case. The court ordered reconstitution of the previous investigation team probing the Haj scandal. The CJ remarked that months have passed away but the authorities remained reluctant to comply with the court orders regarding Haj scam probe.
The CJ remarked that why shouldn’t the secretary establishment Rauf Chaudhry be sent to jail. He remarked that first the officials, offending court orders would be jailed and later be heard.
