Karachi: Finance Minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh has said that the Textile city in Karachi will create 80 thousands jobs.
Talking to media Finance Minister said that Karachi Electric Supply Comany (KESC) has agreed to provide 250 Mega Watts of power. While the Sui Southern Gas will provide 9 MMCFD gas and Water Board would supply 2000 MGD water. This will enable the initiation of launching of new industries.
Electricity, gas and water supply to the current industrial areas are insufficient and face a drastic shortage. Hence supply to the new textile city would prove to be an extremely difficult task.
