Islamabad: Pakistan has lodged a strong protest with US against the arrest of renowned Kashmiri leader Ghulam Nabi Fai, head of Kashmiri-American council, and American attempts to defame Pakistan by declaring Fai an ISI agent.
Pakistan Foreign Office Spokeswoman Tahmina Janjua has said Fai’s services for the Kashmir cause were remarkable. Fai has been working to resolve the Kashmir issue and the Kashmiris have a high regard for his services, he added.
Pakistan Foreign office has also called detail of the case from its embassy in Washington.
The spokesperson further said that Kashmir is on the agenda of the United Nations as an international dispute, while the Security Council has passed several resolutions in this context.
It is pertinent to mention here that Fai was arrested after being declared an ISI agent.
