Karachi: Polling on two constituencies of Azad and Jammu Kashmir (AJK) assembly LA 30 and LA 36 in Karachi would be held on Wednesday.
After withdrawal of Muslim Conference and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP0 candidates, victory of MQM candidates is certain on these seats.
According to Election Commission AJK schedule, all the preparations for conducting elections have been completed.
The polling would start in these constituencies on Wednesday from 8am to 5pm (local time).
The number of candidates in LA-30 is 12. After withdrawal of PPP and MC candidates, the election would be contested between MQM’s candidate Tahir Khokhar and PML-N Abdul Rashid Mirza.
The number of candidates in LA-36 is 11 out of which eight are contesting as independent candidate while PPP and MC have also withdrawn from these seats.
No election activities have been seen in the area and no banners were seen near polling stations or the adjacent areas.
