Karachi: Deputy Convener, Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Rabita (Coordination) Committee, has disclosed that Rangers were deployed in Orangi Town and Kati Pahari areas of Karachi after MQM Chief called DG ISI.
Lamenting over the behavior of federal and provincial government, Farooq Sattar said that four days innocent people of Qasba Colony, Orangi and Kati Pahari areas had been killed and held hostage but, shockingly, administration and law enforcing agencies were seemed like a silent spectator.
He revealed this while giving an interview to a private Pakistani news channel (Express News) will be aired on Saturday at 1900 PST. He said Ranger took the complete control of Kati Pahari and Qasba Colony areas within six hours after Altaf Hussain telephoned Director General, Inter-Services Intelligence, Ahmed Shuja Pasha.
The MQM leader said regretfully that Federal Interior Minister, Rehman Malik also not performed his duties on the occasion.
He said MQM could restore peace in Karachi within three month if got complete powers. He said we do not want interference of Rangers and Army in Karachi but we took that step in very compulsion.
Sattar said that any single political party could not resolve the issues of the country. All the political parties would have to come forward and play their due roles in this regard.
